Graffiti at Windansea Beach occurs predominately on the Pump House located at Neptune Place and Gravilla Street. This is a sensitive subject as the Pump House Graffiti is how the Windansea Surfer community pays homage to surfers that have passed. This graffiti is always painted over by the City of San Diego at taxpayer expense.
Perhaps a more permanent memorialization of Windansea Surfers would be more appropriate , for example with City approved plaques that remain in perpetuity.
